RER News & Updates

Great Britain Fuel Mix Disclosure Update

The deadline for applicants presenting 2024/25 data to Ofgem to claim REGOs for Great Britain Fuel Mix Disclosure (FMD) is 1 July 2025.

We aim to complete reviews and issue REGOs prior to the FMD deadlines. This is dependent on a number of variables, such as output data accuracy, application submission dates and the quality of the evidence provided.

If you do not engage with us and provide evidence requested, any potential REGOs, should you gain accreditation, may not be issued for the 2024/2025 period.

Service Update: RER Access Issues

Earlier today, some users experienced intermittent access issues with the RER, where the message "Something went wrong" was displayed.

Our engineers have implemented updates to the RER server that should resolve this error, as well as related gateway issues.

We will continue to monitor system performance closely and make improvements as needed.

We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and appreciate your patience.

Welcome to the Renewable Electricity Register (RER)

Welcome to the Renewable Electricity Register (RER). This is the replacement for the Renewables & CHP Register and services the RO, REGO and ROOFIT schemes.

Please note the following important information regarding the RER:

• The RER user guide can be accessed via the link in the footers at the bottom of each page.

• Guidance documents for Generators, Agents, and Suppliers can be found on the Ofgem website, here:

o RO Guidance o REGO Guidance o ROOFIT Guidance

• Any ROC or REGO certificates which were not accepted by the receiver on the Renewables & CHP Register have reverted to the sender.

• If you have multiple generating stations within an organisation account, please be aware that the declarations have pagination, so when signing new or annual declarations these may be across more than one page.

• Due to the amount of data contained within, downloading the full Certificates (RO), Certificates (REGO) or Compliance Certificates reports can take 5-10 minutes. Please consider using the filters available to decrease the volume of data downloaded.
